Dear Families and Students,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! Our staff is geared up and excited to see our returning students and meet new faces! The uncertainties that impacted education the past couple of years have been difficult, however we have worked hard to identify positive aspects from these times. One outcome of this was our renewed commitment in relationships among all members of our Wilson Community. Our staff spent time this past spring writing a new mission and vision statement that is reflective of our commitment and goals to each member of our Wilson Community. You can find this in our school handbook.
The purpose of the handbook is to:
The handbook contains important information that we encourage you to review with your child. All students are expected to assume responsibility for themselves and their actions. The included guidelines are designed to help students be responsible for themselves and learn to take responsibility for the decisions they make. There are additional policies and guidelines found at the Caldwell School District website at: www.caldwellschools.org
We maintain very high expectations for our students and our staff. These high expectations are not only for behavior but for academics as well. The staff will provide curriculum and instruction of the highest quality so every student’s needs are met to the best of our abilities. All teachers have a right to teach and each student has a right to learn and no one has a right to interfere with that process. Please assist our efforts by ensuring that your child comes to school prepared to do their best, work cooperatively and contribute to a positive school climate.
We encourage all parents to visit and become involved on a regular basis. Please note, that due to the events with COVID-19, visitors may be limited and/or restricted. However, teachers will be creative in finding ways that families can support classrooms remotely.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your children. If you have any questions or ideas, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or myself.
Sincerely,
